The Most Expensive Home Sales in Tippecanoe County in 2021

December 7, 2021 by Stacy Grove 3 Comments

As we wrap up 2021, I thought it would be fun to take a peek at the most expensive home sales in Tippecanoe County for the year (my criteria for this blog post was anything over $750,000).

As an interesting side note, home prices are definitely up substantially over last year, even on the luxury end of things. Only one home sold for over a million dollars in 2020, but there were four over that mark this year, and prices are up across the board on the luxury end of things.

#11 and #10: $750,000 and $775,000

These stunning gorgeous Green Goose Homes are custom builds on Shootingstar Lane. Welcoming foyers with tray ceilings and massive great rooms with fireplaces and built-ins are just the beginning. The kitchens feature massive islands with seating, butler’s pantries, and gourmet appliances. The huge, finished basements with wet bars are perfect for entertaining.

#9: $825,000

Located on a hilly cul-de-sac, this home has a modern floor plan and a lot of sweet upgrades. It comes with 20-foot ceilings, zoned heating and cooling, a fireplace, a jacuzzi-style tub, remote control windows, and heated bathroom floors—basically, everything you need to live a life of luxury. This home is gorgeous!

#8. $868,000

This Goose Creek Estate in West Lafayette is tucked down a private, paved drive and is nestled amongst old-growth oaks, sycamore, and hickory trees. This is mid-century architecture at its finest. Enjoy the natural light, skylights, and views on acres of wooded property. The best part just might be the creek and ravine views, complete with year-round wildlife.

#7. $899,900

This custom new construction home is in an incredible, picturesque setting by the water. It has a huge main floor with generous rooms and a luxurious master suite, along with four second-floor bedrooms with private baths and large walk-in closets. It also has a finished walkout level with a full-size bar, two laundry rooms, and custom-built cabinets plus custom millwork, and zoned heating and cooling systems.

#6. $899,900

This gorgeous executive home has 6 bedrooms, 5-1/2 bathrooms, and a fully finished walkout basement. Even better, it comes with a 4-car garage and a custom pool on nearly an acre of professionally landscaped property.

#5. $950,000

This stunning new construction home by Grey Oak Custom Homes is a ranch with a timeless design and comes with top-of-the-line materials and workmanship. Upgrades to the home include 10- to 12-foot ceilings, a designer kitchen and bathrooms, and beamed ceilings and hardwood throughout the home.

#4. $1,050,000

This home is on twenty amazing acres and has a stunning backyard hardscape. It has a gated entry and is set back a fourth of a mile down a private drive. The home was modernized and remodeled in 2016. It comes with a vaulted foyer, a wall of windows, and a luxurious master suite with easy access to an outdoor hot tub. It also has a media room, custom bar, and exercise room. What else could you need?

#3. $1,100,000

This gorgeous home is on thirteen acres yet is just minutes from the Purdue campus. The home was completely remodeled and filled with top-quality finishes. It includes a great room with a beamed ceiling, a stone fireplace, and a completely custom kitchen. It even comes with a puppy shower and a shoe closet—all the amenities you need for luxury living.

#2. $1,200,000

This home on Pawnee Circle in West Lafayette is a dream home close to Purdue and is in the award-winning West Lafayette school corporation. It was designed by nationally recognized architect Gary Nance and was built by custom home builder Chris Brown. It includes four fireplaces, two wet bars, and an exercise room and sauna.

#1. $1,255,000

At nearly 9,000 square feet, this Penelope Court home in West Lafayette is a stunning piece of work and is the most expensive home sale of 2021 in our county. It’s on a quiet cul-de-sac in Schererdon Woods. It includes a gorgeous 18×11 foyer, gourmet kitchen, and two master suites. The walkout lower level includes a rec room, exercise room, and plenty of storage. What a find!

If you’re looking to buy a home in 2022, whether it’s a luxury home or not, now is the time to start planning.
