Well, we knew we were a part of an amazing community, but y’all BLEW OUR MINDS with this one!
Every weekday morning, Stacy participates in a 20-minute Mastermind with top Realtors from across the country. One broker mentioned an event she came up with. She was collecting the contents for “blessing baskets” from her clients to hand out around her community. We decided to put our own spin on it and give it a go!
In early October, we reached out to middle schools in and around Tippecanoe County to find out how many students (and their families) could be blessed by a Christmas dinner. We heard back from 10 area middle schools in response to our question.
The guidance counselors from each school indicated how many baskets they’d love to receive, and our goal was set: 150.
From there, we put together a simple but comprehensive grocery list and set off to hit our goal. And from mid-October to late November, that’s when the pedal hit the metal. We had everyone from past clients to vendor partners to networking groups racing to help us reach our goal. And we did! The baskets kept coming. And coming. And we outgrew one of our office spaces. And then our conference room was overflowing. We couldn’t believe our eyes. In total, y’all blessed our community with 263 baskets. Absolutely insane. From there, The Russell Company added a $25 gift card so that each family could get a fresh turkey or ham to add to their dinner!
At that point, we called the guidance counselors and shared the great news!! Who needed more baskets, and how many?? They were THRILLED!
On December 18, we loaded up Boxy (our moving truck) and delivered the baskets to all the schools. We only wish we could have captured the faces of the guidance counselors as they saw their offices overflowing with food for the students and families they serve. It was INCREDIBLE! Each school chose how to distribute their baskets in a way that best served their families.
We ended up with seven extra baskets that were donated to the Community Cancer Network for their clients in need of a wonderful Christmas dinner. And now we look forward to 2024 with anticipation. What can we do together next year?
THANK YOU, our dear friends! This was an absolute BLAST.

Such a great idea that gave directly to those in need. Your hard work and dedication to the community is greatly appreciated.

This was a great way for us to bless our community this year instead of TRC blessing us with pies or rolls. Thank you for the opportunity!
