While we have some wonderful parks and trails in Greater Lafayette (in my opinion), it’s that time of year when the outdoor workouts get moved inside. So, where are you working out around town? Here’s what your neighbors had to say when asked for their favorite gyms in Greater Lafayette. Isn’t it great to have so many options?

Orangetheory Fitness, West Lafayette
Members seem to love the pre-determined workouts and camaraderie. “It’s like family!” At OTF, you show up for a reserved time and do the workout as a coach instructs the class.
Miracles Fitness, West Lafayette
“Awesome personal trainer!” Miracles offers yoga, reformed pilates, and small group training classes. A bonus: All of the trainers are certified through the Functional Aging Institute!
West Lafayette Wellness Center
Not only can you get a “Great assortment of classes and indoor walking track,” the West Lafayette Wellness Center offers amenities for children via their childcare program and indoor playground. This really is the gym for the entire family.
Vasa, Lafayette
This is the place to go for a huge variety of fitness goals! That could be everything from group classes to “doing your own thing.” Members also love the hydromassage chairs and the ability to stay anonymous during workouts.
CrossFit, West Lafayette
Work out with a tribe of like-minded individuals. CrossFit is truly a community of people who are all in it together. Members enjoy both functional movement and strength training at one time.
Absolute U, Lafayette
This is a small business, which guests say feels private, and doesn’t have a ton of foot traffic. Plus, no contracts for the ultimate flexibility!
Live Well at Westminster, West Lafayette
This space is geared toward helping you stay as healthy and independent as possible as you age. The Purdue University Health & Kinesiology Department adds wellness programs, as well. We hear it’s scarcely used, except between 10 am and 1 pm.
Parkwest Fitness, West Lafayette
This is a community gym with “great instructors, great people, and a great community.” Members say the owners are happy to make member accommodations.
HotWorx, West Lafayette
Get warmed up and then stretched out. This is a short, fast workout. You’ll keep sweating for a long time afterward, though!
