The Best Coffee Shops in Greater Lafayette

February 5, 2024 by Stacy Grove Leave a Comment

Not much more bumpin’ in this town than our coffee scene. WOAH! You want a place to cozy up and enjoy some coffee? Plenty of options!

Indy Coffee Roasters

Indy Coffee Roasters on Airport Road/State Street has some super-rich coffee. It’s got cool machines with only a coffee head and steamer wand coming out of counter, which makes for a very minimalist vibe. There are lots of students studying at this spot.

Sacred Grounds Reclaimed

This kid-friendly spot is off the beaten path on Wabash Ave in Lafayette. They have lots of space and parking nearby, too! Bonus: They have a delicious breakfast AND lunch menu (try one of the salads)!

Star City

Nestled at the very west end of Main Street, Star City is a great little coffee shop with a cool vibe. They’ve got interesting food, and a HUGE selection of teas, too!

The Eleventh House

Eleventh House Coffee is in the heart of downtown Lafayette on 3rd Street. It has such a unique vibe, and sometimes, they even have music. This is THE place to get bagels to go with your coffee.

Bistro Market

This is a hidden, unexpected gem. You think you’re going to the market, but actually they have DELISH coffee AND a lovely little seating area in the upper level. Bonus: Enjoy a game of chess while you’re drinking and eating your goodies.

The Lobby by Greyhouse

If you love Greyhouse Coffee but don’t want to venture onto campus, The Lobby is a great spot! They have fabulous coffee, a great food menu with super easy ordering at your table, and black chairs in every shape and size. Really, you gotta see ‘em!

Wanderlust

This is greater Lafayette’s newest coffee shop. The owner is super knowledgeable and a delight to talk to. The vacuum coffee maker looks like a science experiment!! There’s a great mural inside and a second space that has more of a library vibe, away from the noise. That makes it a great spot for studying, reading, or working while you’re enjoying your coffee!

Reveille Coffee Bar

This fabulous little spot is on the east end of Main Street. It’s a great place to nestle in, enjoy your joe, and watch the weather out the HUGE front windows. Bonus: Go back in the evening for a fabulous glass of wine! (This coffee bar is located inside The Cellar Wine Bistro.)

Fuel

This cool coffee shop is located in a historic home at Five Points in Lafayette. (They have another location on campus, too!) You’ll love the food that comes from their kitchen and an assortment of baked goods, too!

Renae’s Coffee Company

Renae’s Coffee Company has delicious, gourmet drinks and goodies. Let’s just say that if you like pastries, this is the place to go. Renae’s even has delicious sandwiches and paninis if you need something a little more substantial than a pastry.

And, in case you’re into adventure, I put this together in such a way that you could enjoy a “coffee trail” starting in West Lafayette and winding your way into Lafayette with a little side trip to Dayton. Enjoy!!
