So, I know I don’t have quite Oprah’s following, but I thought it would be fun to write a blog post about my favorite things as we go into the holiday shopping season. And, well, if you’re looking for some fun or different gifts for a 30-something lady in your life, this might be just what you need.
1. Nut Butters
All right, if you’re like me, there are days you live in your car. And, as convenient as eating at any and all drive-throughs sounds, it’s no bueno for my waistline. Enter: Nut butters. Oh, yum. They’re a great, quick pick-me-up with a shot of protein. Usually, they can power me through a few hours, or even all the way home! Take that, drive-throughs.

2. Protein Bar
Sometimes I just NEED a treat. I mean, I can eat a whole sleeve of Oreos, but I’m trying to change my 13-year-old ways. (Trying. I didn’t say I’m perfect.) I’ve discovered these G2G protein bars have the benefit of protein and give me the sweet fix I’m needing, too.

3. Fitness Watch
I was always a step counter, and my Fitbit was LIFE. But I noticed that my distances were never aligned with my walking or running partners’ counts. I finally upgraded to a Garmin Instinct, and I LOVE this watch. It’s rugged (and not pretty with evening wear, I admit), but I almost never take it off. We’re logging some serious miles these days . . . more on that later.

4. Tumbler
OK, one of my vendor partners gave me two Yeti Rambler 20 oz. tumblers as a thank you gift and I LOVE THEM! I’ve never had *a* cup, and I do now. And everyone in my family knows that it’s Mom’s. Don’t take it. This thing is amazing. Doesn’t sweat. Dishwasher safe. And the lid has been the most leak-proof lid I’ve ever owned. Also, I can put ice water in it before bed, and wake up with ice STILL in my cup.

5. Hand Sanitizer
This sounds crazy, but I think most all of us have opinions on hand sanitizers these days. And this one is the only one that doesn’t make my hands crack, bleed, and sting after constant use. I love that it sprays so I can douse my kids every time we get back in the car.

6. Book
Have you read Time Off? I never knew time off was a thing!? I’m kidding. I did, but I didn’t have any idea how to achieve it or why it was important. I asked for this book for Christmas last year, and then our family ended up in quarantine due to close contact at a holiday gathering. As it turns out, that’s a great time to read a book about taking time off. This was a great, easy read, with lots of deep thoughts to process.
7. Socks
I’m obsessed with Bombas socks. (Does that age me?) I’ve got the ankle ones, some calf ones . . . they’re amazing. Life isn’t worth living if you don’t have good socks. Soft, warm, wicking, and durable! And, for each pair you buy, a pair is donated. I LOVE that!
8. Collagen Peptides
When I started distance running a few years ago, I learned that collagen peptides were a game-changer in my training. My bones felt better after long runs when I was consistently taking my peptides . . . AND my hair and skin and nails look better than ever, too! Bonus, it easily dissolves in my morning coffee!

9. Favorite App
All right, I’m kind of crazy about Clean Simple Eats, and now they have an APP. This sweet couple developed these easy-to-follow meal plans that are seasonally based and family-friendly. My entire family enjoys the recipes, and she does the whole meal plan WITH a grocery list. It doesn’t get any easier.
10. Spotify Channel
This was hard because I love all sorts of different music, but when if I HAVE to choose, there’s one called “Hiking Playlist.” It’s lovely. Take a listen.

11. Instagram Account
If you’re not following @zillowgonewild, you’re missing out. It’s absolute hilarity and overnight has grown to more than 1.3 million followers. And, while the posts are great, the comments will have you absolutely ROLLING.
