Feast of the Hunter’s Moon
October 7 and 8
3129 S. River Road, West Lafayette
I am SO excited that the Feast of the Hunter’s Moon is back this year for its 56th year. If you haven’t been to this epic fall event, make this the thing you do. The historic re-creation of the annual fall gathering of the French and Native Americans at Fort Ouiatenon (a fur-trading outpost in the mid-1700s), is so much fun! Think of it as a feast for all of your senses.
Continuous programming is held on five stages at the fort, and they include music and dance, fife and drum corps performances, military drills and demonstrations, and games and contests. There are also hands-on activities like candle dipping, storytelling, bracelet making, tomahawk throwing, and more. There is truly something for everyone.
Fall Fest at Wea Creek Orchard
Oct 15
5618 South 200 East, Lafayette
There’s nothing like celebrating fall at an orchard, and this is such an affordable event at only $5 per car for admission. The gorgeous Wea Creek Orchard is the perfect place to spend a late-October day.
There will be u-pick pumpkins and apples, a kids’ area, carnival games, and bounce houses, plus local vendors, food trucks, live music, and a lot more fall fun. Sounds like a perfect day on the farm!
Fall Festival at West Lafayette Wellness Center
Oct 27, 5 p.m to 8 p.m.
1101 Kalberer Road, West Lafayette
The West Lafayette Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting its first annual fall festival! Even better, it’s free, but registration is required.
The event includes trails lined with games and trick-or-treating, bounce houses, and so much more. Local businesses will also decorate spaces, have games, and pass out treats.
Exploration Acres
Sept 17 to October 29
6042 Newcastle Rd, Lafayette
It’s the quintessential spot in Lafayette for fall fun, so don’t miss Exploration Acres this autumn season. It’s most known for its epic corn maze (it’s actually four mazes), which is 22 acres, 10 miles of paths, and rewards hidden throughout from local businesses.
The pumpkin patch boasts 38 varieties that range from 1 to 200 pounds, so you can literally get whatever kind of pumpkin strikes your fancy. There are plenty of wagons that can get you (and your pumpkins) to and from the patch. There’s nothing that screams fall like a hayride in an antique tractor. There’s also a straw mound, sand pile, playset, pedal carts, tractor train, corn bin, tube slide, and more!
Hillside Acres Family Farm Corn Maze
Through October 30
9811 N County Road 600 W, Rossville
If you’re trying to find the perfect fall outing for the family, check out Hillside Acres! This is the place to have a fall adventure because there’s something for everybody on this beautiful property.
General admission includes entrance to Timber Town (pedal karts, tire mountain, 70-foot slides, corn hole, tetherball, and more), the u-pick pumpkin patch, a 7-acre corn maze, and a hayride. Don’t forget to buy a cider slushie for a sweet treat.
Dulls Tree Farm Pumpkin Harvest
September 25 to October 31
1765 W Blubaugh Avenue, Thorntown
You may have been to Dulls Tree Farm to pick out a Christmas tree, but if you haven’t been during their fall season, you need to do it!
Admission includes access to over 40 activities, and a coupon you can use for the Country Air Cannons or pumpkin decorating. Guests can purchase additional tickets for the cannons, pumpkin decorating, and pony rides. U-pick pumpkins (including specialty pumpkins!) and food are also available (fresh apple cider donuts, anyone)?

We’ve only lived in the area for a few months now, so we’re still getting to know it! We get our carpets cleaned every so often, so we’re always looking for things to do to get out of the house. This is such a great list of fun things! Thank you!
