Spring has sprung in Greater Lafayette, and you know what that means! That’s right—it’s time for some spring cleaning after a long, dreary winter.
Well, I’ve got some good news. The Russell Company (in conjunction with Reliable Insurance) is holding our 8th Annual Earth Day Recycling event. We were so bummed to have to cancel it last year due to the pandemic, and we’re thrilled to have figured out how to host it safely this year.
Here are the important details you should know.
Date: April 17th
Time: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Location: 2522 Covington Street in West Lafayette
Who: This free event is open to the entire community.
Here’s what we’ll help you recycle during the event.
- Documents for shredding (limit of two boxes)
- Small electronics (fees vary, see below)
- OTC and prescription drugs
- Batteries
- Light bulbs
- Cell phones
- Eyeglasses
Fees for small electronics recycling vary and are from $20 to $90 per unit, depending on size and condition of the item.
Take advantage of this opportunity to get rid of the things that are just cluttering up your home.
Recycling these items properly is so much better for our earth than just dumping them in the trash. Together, we can all make a big difference.
We hope to see you there!
