On a rainy Saturday, The Russell Company hosted our 12th Annual Earth Day Event. Thanks to our awesome community partners, Reliable Insurance and Lafayette Q106.7, the day was still filled with smiles and great tunes! Despite the rainy day, we had a huge turnout, as always!
The West Lafayette Police accepted drug recycling, while the West Lafayette Tree Friends collected donations.The most popular of stops continued to be Eco Shred and Green Wave Electronics. We were grateful for the help of Kern Darbyshire from the Tippecanoe County Recycling & Solid Waste Management District, too!
Stats:
- WL Police: 73 pounds of drugs recycled
- WL Tree Friends: $1,818 donated to their organization
- Eco Shred: Approximately 10,000 pounds of paper shredded
- Green Wave: 4,507 pounds of electronics recycled
