Hear ye! Hear ye! That\nbeloved Hallmark holiday is right around the corner. Are you ready? Maybe you\nrevolt against tradition and specifically don\u2019t go out *that<\/strong>* night.\nRegardless, there are so many options for a fun night out around greater\nLafayette. Grab your gal pal(s), bro(s), or whomever you want to spend some\nquality time with and check out these ideas!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cellar Wine\nBistro and a Show<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019ve not been\nto The\nCellar Wine Bistro<\/a>, it\u2019s lovely (and\nrecently renovated with stunning d\u00e9cor). Two sisters put their passion for wine\ninto this space, and it is the perfect spot for a date night! They have a\nfabulous dinner menu, too! Don\u2019t leave without trying some of their delicious\ncheese to go with your wine\u2014the cheese board is excellent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you\u2019re finished\nwith delicious food and drink at The Cellar Wine Bistro, catch a show. Downtown\nLafayette has offerings at the Lafayette\nTheater<\/a>, Civic Theater<\/a>, The Long Center<\/a> and even Carnahan Hall!<\/a> With such a variety of shows, you\u2019re sure to find something you\nand your date will enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Black Sparrow\nand Games<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Wine and a show too\nstuffy for you and your date? All right, why not get down to the Black\nSparrow<\/a>? It\u2019s like a British pub\nright here in Lafayette. They have an appropriately sized menu and an awesome\nbar (with frequently rotating craft beers and a great cocktail selection)! Try\nthe fantastic Thai chicken soup, the El Diablo pizza, or their take on a bahn\nmi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you\u2019re done, head\nover to Main Street Amusements<\/a> and\nget your pinball on! Or settle in for a board game (they have an extensive<\/em>\nlibrary to play from) and another beer at Merlin\u2019s Beard<\/a>, which just reopened\nin a spiffy new location. They even have cookies, ice cream, and milkshakes for\ndessert if you start getting a little hungry again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Richelle in a\nHandbasket and Bowling or an Escape Room<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Speaking of dessert,\nif you\u2019ve never been to Lafayette\u2019s FIRST dessert bar, check out Richelle In A Handbasket<\/a> in its new location. Once you\u2019re sufficiently stuffed with\ndelicious truffles and wine (she also serves soups, sandwiches, and salads if\nyou don\u2019t want only<\/em> sugar for dinner), it\u2019s time to move on to something\nmore physical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Work off those\ncalories at Cosmic Bowling night at Arrowhead<\/a>. Or, get your brain\nengaged and try an escape room! Mission: Breakout Lafayette<\/a> has four rooms of fun, or see if you can escape in time\nat Rugged\nXscape<\/a>. (Some of these escape rooms require more\nthan one person, so this might be perfect for a Galentine\u2019s night out). There\nare various levels of difficulty, so you can pick whatever you feel comfortable\nwith tackling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harry\u2019s Chocolate\nShop and an Event at Purdue<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Feeling like a kid\nagain? How about drinks at Harry\u2019s Chocolate Shop<\/a>? (Warning:\nNot a ton of chocolate is sold there, but there are a whole lot of drinks to\nchoose from.) Harry\u2019s has been around for a hundred years! Just think of all\nthe date nights that have happened there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Harry\u2019s, take on\none of the gazillion events happening at Purdue<\/a>! From arts to athletics, there\u2019s ALWAYS something happening,\nand oftentimes it\u2019s at low or no cost! We also love bowling in the basement of\nthe Purdue Memorial Union. Winner pays for a milkshake at Pappy\u2019s Sweet Shop<\/a> (just like you stepped into a time machine, I swear)!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create an Artistic\nMasterpiece<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

All right, all right.\nDate night is for conversing, right? Perhaps you need to let your inner artist\nout. Well, fear not. The artsy date nights are here, too! Enjoy step-by-step\ninstructions in a colorful, casual party atmosphere at Painting with a Twist<\/a>.\nBonus: Take your painting with you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you prefer a\ndifferent medium for your night on the town, how about pottery at All Fired Up<\/a>? There are tons of\ngreat offerings at Flourish Studio & Classroom<\/a> in downtown Lafayette, too (and you\u2019re welcome to take\nyour adult beverage with you).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hiking and Farm-to-Table Dinner<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Looking for some fresh\nair for your date night? How about a nice long hike or bike ride at Prophetstown State Park<\/a>?\nThere are some awesome trails to enjoy where the Tippecanoe River meets the\nWabash near the town of Battle Ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re lucky, you\nmight land a spot at a Farm to Table dinner at The Farm at Prophetstown<\/a>. (Warning: They sell out, so book soon!) These small farm meals\nby Chef Lauren are absolutely delicious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Get Active with\nYour Date<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Another fun outdoor\ndate is at Ross Hills Park<\/a>! Pack a picnic and make it almost free! There are also some\nlovely trails at Happy Hollow Park in West Lafayette<\/a>, which is conveniently located near the Silver\nDipper<\/a>! Why not work for those calories and enjoy all\nthe beauty in our area?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or, head over to the south side and enjoy some indoor climbing at\u00a0Climb Lafayette<\/a>! Who doesn\u2019t love a little physical activity and healthy competition? This is an especially good option if it\u2019s crazy and snowing on Valentine\u2019s Day (which it better not be).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There really is no shortage of fun in Greater Lafayette, no matter what your interests are. Get out there and make some memories, y\u2019all!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
