Here\u2019s what you might find some of the locals doing. And, if you\u2019re a resident of the area but haven\u2019t done some of these, I highly encourage you to check them out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Breakfast at Triple XXX<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;\u201cOn the hill but on the level,\u201d the famous <a href=\"https:\/\/www.triplexxxfamilyrestaurant.com\/menu\/\">Triple XXX<\/a> soda stand turned restaurant is known for its namesake dishes and fabulous cold and frosty root beer! The last iconic Triple XXX has served affordable food in Chauncey Village since 1929. Whether you choose breakfast or lunch, you won\u2019t be disappointed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Walking at Celery Bog or on Wabash Heritage Trail<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s no shortage of trails to jog, walk, or bike in Greater Lafayette. One local favorite in West Lafayette is the Celery Bog, where you can enjoy some fabulous bird watching in the wetland habitat or take in the exhibits at the Lily Nature Center. &nbsp;The Wabash Heritage Trail is a hiking trail from Fort Ouiatenon to the Tippecanoe Battlefield in Battle Ground\u201413 miles total\u2014through West Lafayette and Lafayette.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Coffee at Greyhouse<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stop for delicious coffee and a bite at <a href=\"https:\/\/greyhousecoffee.com\/\">Greyhouse Coffee &amp; Supply Co<\/a>. Their handcrafted doughnuts, coffee, and house-made syrups are artistically designed. They also serve up smoothies, sandwiches, and the best crepes in town!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stroll Downtown Lafayette<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stroll downtown Lafayette to stretch your legs. You\u2019ll find endless restaurants, shopping, galleries, and museums. Start at Main and 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Street&nbsp;near Riehle Plaza Train Depot and head east on Main Street. Swing over to The Arts Federation on North Street to see what sorts of arts and culture have been curated for your enjoyment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Happy Hour at Harry\u2019s Chocolate Shop<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Partake in happy hour at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.harryschocolateshop.com\/\">Harry\u2019s Chocolate Shop<\/a>, which is celebrating 100 years! It was founded in 1919 as an ice cream parlor and soda foundation, but at the end of Prohibition, ice cream was replaced with beer, and the rest is history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Events at Purdue<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Take in a Purdue game or show on campus\u2014there\u2019s no shortage of options. Regardless of the season, the Purdue Athletics Department is always hustling, or enjoy some of the fine art offerings at Loeb Theater or via Purdue Convocations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enjoy a nightcap at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.8elevenbistro.com\/\">8Eleven Bistro<\/a> in the Purdue Memorial Union, which is a modern bistro serving up a fabulous old fashioned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now you have a perfect list of things to do in the Purdue area.
